Dance Me, the dance school of Sonia Navarro, received on Saturday the recognition of the Sports Merit on the occasion of the tenth anniversary during the "Nit de l'Esport" of Figueres that was held at the theater "El Jardí". The Awards, organized annually by the Ajuntament of Figueres, distinguished the most outstanding clubs and athletes of the city of 2018. The school's director, Sonia Navarro, collected the award from the hand of the mayor of the city, Jordi Masquef.
Considered one of the pioneering urban dance schools in the country and one of the largest in Catalonia and southern Europe, Dance Me Figueres celebrates one decade since it opened on Santa Llogaia number 10. Since then, it has always shown a permanent commitment to the city, through performances with its dancers who have filled the squares and streets of Figueres with Hello Christmas or Hello Fires, organizing major events such as Rock Da House Catalunya, and collaborating with different entities in the city.
Throughout these 10 years, Dance Me Figueres has reflected at all times the values of teamwork, respect, passion, love for dance and humility, which are probably the key to the success of the entity, as its director says. Sonia Navarro is proud and excited about the award, and thanks the trust of the entire Dance Me family and of all the people who have been part of it and who have made this distinction possible.
